This study aims to review the demography, epidemiology as well as the pathology of cardiac tumours diagnosed at the Singapore General Hospital from 1997 to 2008. We retrospectively searched the departmental database for all cases of cardiac tumours reported during the study period. Pericardial diseases were excluded. Reports and slides of all cases were retrieved and reviewed. The data is subsequently entered and analysed. A review of the literature was also performed. There were a total of 52 cases, of which 46 were benign and 6 were malignant tumours. Overall age distribution of cardiac tumours ranged from 18 to 79 years, with a mean age of 54 years, with slight female predominance. The benign cases included 42 myxomas, 3 papillary fibroe...
