Singapore is currently facing a pressing issue of ageing population. Although the government has implemented various measures to help the elderly live long and well, these policies do not address the root of the problem. This study argues that the promotion of the value of filial piety, which governs people’s filial attitudes and behaviours, could be a solution to the ageing population.
