As the demand for renewable energy increases, there is a need for storing energy for later use. Vanadium Redox Flow Battery (VRFB) was identified as the energy storage system for the project, and porous ion selective membranes are being explored as Nafion, a commercial ion exchange membrane usually used for its high conductivity and chemical stability, is expensive due to the dangerous production process.
