94 p.In this project, empirical approach was taken to study the thermocapillary effect for droplet-based microfluidic. Droplets are generated in microchannel by introducing DI water as a dispersed phase and mineral oil as continuous phase. A detailed study of the effect of heat induced microchannel on the droplet formation, droplet splitting and droplet sorting was carried out in this project. The characteristic of the water-in-oil microdroplet results from heating of the entrance T-junction channel and exit T-junction bifurcation channel was studied.
