Synthetic route to quinolines via microwave irradiation assisted triflic acid-catalyzed friedländer annulation.

An efficient triflic acid-catalyzed Friedländer annulation of 2-aminobenzophenone and ketone to afford quinolines under microwave irradiation is reported herein.
