53 p.The aim of the project is to design, construct and performance test a fixed regenerator based on a new design concept. The focus of the design will be on the ease of construction of the regenerator using easily available components. The regenerator, using a unique flow-switching arrangement to alternate the flow of hot and cold fluids into two heat exchange compartments, had been built and performance tested. Test data indicates that the use of this regenerator for certain heat recovery applications is economically viable.RP 43/8
