Padeye are usually small round opening that is in an edgewise projection of a plate welded to a particular part of a ship’s structure. There are essential for lifting operations which results in them being put under high stress. Furthermore it is found that the padeye could be lifted at an inclination out of plane angle, which greatly weaken the padeye structure causing structural damages leading to huge losses.
