Agent-based simulation and model validation for oil refinery supply chain (I)

With the advancement of globalization, the complexity in supply chains has dramatically increased, making supply chain management more challenging. The flexibility and effectiveness in agent-based modelling technique makes it well-adapted in supply chain management, validation of agent-based models is challenging. Refinery supply chain involves both complex technical processes and various decision making and requires careful management. In this project, which began with literature reviews on agent-based modelling, supply chain management, refinery supply chain and application of ABM to SCM, an agent-based model on oil refinery supply chain is simulated and validated.
