In recent years, the training provision for library technicians in relation to their expanding role has become a subject of interest among management. The aim of this dissertation is to study the in-house training practices provided for library technicians in the public libraries of the National Library Board. This is achieved via the cretion and implentation of questionnaire survey on in-house training practices. The scope of this survey consists of two areas namely induction training and task oriented skills training provided for Circulation, Reference and Information Technology (IT) services.
