In this report, we will talk about the importance of medical adherence and medical adherence aid, especially with an emphasis on smart-pack targeting anticoagulant medication. Additionally, a smart application using Internet-of-Things (IoT) to monitor the medication adherence of the patient taking an anti-coagulant drug during a clinical trial with a local hospital. The app and the smart pack are capable of monitoring when a pill/tablet is taken out of its packaging, and of communicating this information by means of Bluetooth connectivity to the app—the pill data are, in turn, wirelessly uploaded by the app to the cloud system.Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical and Electronic Engineering
