Lanthanide β-diketonates are the most popular and the most intensively investigated lanthanide coordination compounds. They have attracted intense research on their application as luminescent material in organic light emitting diodes. Their antenna chromophores behaviour enhances energy harvesting of lanthanide emissions owing to their high internal quantum efficiency.
