This project was carried out between June 2004 and July 2006 and was supported by NTU Startup Grant under reference number SUG8/04. The purpose of this project was to develop novel techniques for processing digital geometry models. With advances in computing hardware and acquisition technology, digital geometry is becoming a new multimedia data type after sound, images,and video. Due to the inherent complex structure of 3D geometry, traditional tools like digital signal processing, which have been successful for sound, images and video, are not immediately applicable to this new data type.
