This project aims to develop a three-phase State Estimation (SE) algorithm that considers unbalanced characteristics of specific distribution networks by incorporating KVL loop equations. The SE function was developed mostly for the high voltage transmission and medium voltage distribution network as most of the loads are balanced. However, it is not accurate for low-voltage distribution networks and microgrid due to unbalanced loads. Results of the developed SE algorithm must be accurate and reliable so that it can be used for the operation of the microgrid energy management system.
