Augmented virtuality allows the integration of real elements into a primarily virtual world or environment. The application of augmented virtuality in the area of rotorcraft simulation is relatively scarce. Most of the emphasis is on augmenting the virtual environment with real world images. For this thesis, the augmentation comes from collecting data from an actual rotorcraft, such as acceleration and rotational rates, to more accurately recreate the motion of the real rotorcraft with the virtual one.
