114 p.Deterioration of reinforced concrete structures is caused by the attacks of destructive processes of chemical, physical or mechanical origin, acting externally or arising internally. It is the ease of transportation of air and water through the concrete cover which determines its quality with regard to protecting the reinforcing bars from corrosion. For buildings with exposed elements like facades and walls, changes in moisture content during drying and wetting had been studied using the modified capillary absorption model, which can be used for in-situ and laboratory applications.DRF IB/8
