Analysis on construction industry specific web-based systems

The Internet has evolved into the main link between companies, individuals, and governments in the late 60s by surpassing geographical boundaries, cost restrictions, and time limitations. As the internet increases in popularity, a well-designed website is considered a reflection of a company. Having a purposeful website is essential for businesses as it is used to provide information, achievements, and advertisements, especially for those in the construction industry. The construction industry is a relatively down-to-earth business; there has been a rapid growth in its popularity. Commercial and residential construction work is increasing rapidly to meet the population's growing needs and keep up with global development. We can evaluate the successful strategies of a good construction website design by comparing different websites. This project will analyse the top 5 construction companies' websites. We compared and analysed various website designs used in Singapore construction companies. Thus, insights from these results helped determine the essential factors and design a good website for the construction company. This project aimed to determine which factors contributed to a good website's success and implement a good website design for the construction company. Hence, this project will determine a good website design by creating a website for Trinity Construction. Throughout this project, the website will only focus on the essential factors based on the research and apply those positive functionalities gathered from various companies.Bachelor of Engineering (Computer Science
