Acculturation of Mainland Chinese students is researched extensively in western literature in Psychology. However, little has been done to shed light on how these students are acculturating in an environment which is similar to home. Furthermore, acculturation studies have always used negative psychological consequences. Hence this study aims to look use well-being as a psychological outcome of acculturation in a culture similar as home for these students. The sample consists of 91 Mainland Chinese students. Results have shown that well-being in Singapore can be significantly predicted by how one was doing at home, and the state of adjustment one is in. Resilience can significantly predict the current state of well-being for the students. ...
