With the growing demand for renewability and sustainability, the conversion of biomass into value-added chemicals has attracted comprehensive attention all over the word. The fundamental challenge of this conversion is that biomass feedstocks are fairly oxygen-rich and hyperfunctionalized. Two feasible approaches have been developed to solve this issue, namely deoxydehydration and dehydration.
