Underwater communication via Electromagnetic (EM) waves can provide many advantages as compared to traditional acoustic waves. EM waves propagate faster with higher bandwidth than acoustic waves thereby shortening transmission timing and increasing data bit with less interference and loss of signals. These advantages will allow real-time information transfer both underwater and potentially across two mediums for underwater-surface communication.
