Lithium-ion batteries are a promising alternative to the already existing lead batteries, as an efficient, inexpensive energy storage option for the ever increasing demand for energy around the world today. Considering the growing concerns over the environmental impacts of non-renewable energy sources, clean and renewable energy sources is a topic of escalating importance.
