This report presents a study on the design of an internally stabilizing controller by using the Hoo control theory so as to achieve robust stability and robust performance for the UOP3C distillation column. The control design is simulated in MATLAB and SIMULINK. The designed controller is then digitized using different sampling rate and the performance analysis for these digitized controllers is also carried out. Finally, the performance of this designed controller is compared with two classical controllers, that is, the diagonal PI controller and steady-state decoupler plus two PI controller.Master of Science (Computer Control and Automation
