This report will present the student’s project on Nanomaterial-based Solar Cells, in relation to the Final Year Project (EE4079) as part of the course requirement in the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering. The report will be break into three parts. The initial part of the report will describe why solar energy is becoming very important to the human race, the different types of solar cell that exist in the context of solar engineering, and why the Dye Sensitized solar cells, or more particularly the Quantum Dot Sensitized solar cell, are being focused by the student in this project.
