This paper deal with the study of bone remains at Gran Dolina and Galeria sites (Sierra de Atapuerca, Burgos, Spain). Biological activities, mostly of carnivores and hominids, have been identified. The hominids develop various occupation strategies in this karstic system that are reflected in the different archaeological levels excavated in this two sites up to now. TDW4B level from Gran Dolina and Galeria are natural traps for large herbivors from the Sierra de Atapuerca. In those places hominids and carnivores eat the animals that fall inside the caves.
