The Azilian layers of the cave contained large quantities rabbit bones (about 2.800 individuals). Biometrical study leads to the conclusion that these remains should be attributed to the subspecies Oryctolagus cuniculus huxleyi, on the basis Miller's original measurements and more recent studies. Rabbit remains from other Glacial sites (12000/10000 BP) in Aquitaine seem to belong to same subspecies.
