ABSTRACT The Magdalenian occupation levels at Grand Canton and Tureau des Gardes at Marolles-sur-Seine (Seine-et-Marne) fit perfectly into the regional Lateglacial context - from late Boiling to early Alleród. Both technologically and typologically, the lithic industry indicates a close relationship between these two sites and with the « classical » sites of the region, in particular Marsangy. The topography and large quantity of bones found suggest these were hunting sites, specialised in horse- hunting.
