The Aurignacian sequence at Caminade Est revisited : contribution of the re fittings to stratigraphie study. This article is about the question of homogeneity in lithic assemblages from the base of the Aurignacian sequence at Caminade Est (Dordogne). The research centers on critical analysis of previous results concerning the Aurignacian in the Périgord region. Technological analysis combined with spatial analysis and refitting show that the archaic tools which were used to attribute the tools from the level G to the Aurignacian 0 come from contamination by Mousterian artifacts in the level below.
