Patients with anomia typically have difficulty naming objects (nouns) and actions (verbs). Anomia is also observed in bilingual speakers with aphasia (Paradis, 2001 M. Paradis, Bilingual and polyglot aphasia. Handbook of Neuropsychology (2nd ed.), Elsevier Science, Oxford (2001).Paradis, 2001). However no study has compared action and object naming in bilingual patients. Bogka et al. (2003) compared the naming of objects and actions in normal Greek–English bilingual speakers.
