Matthias Middell : The French Revolution as seen by the Counter-revolutionaries in the Assemblée Nationale from 1789 to 1791. As part of the recently renewed investigation identifying the Counter-revolution with Anti-revolution, this study is based on the systematic analysis of the speeches and stands taken within the Constituant National Assembly ; it attempts to establish the formative stages of a counter-revolutionary party and its strategies at the begining of the Revolution.
