Investigadoras venezolanas en Ciencias Sociales y Educación (2022)

This article constitutes a preliminary research report whose objective was to identify active Venezuelan researchers, specifically in social sciences, education and other disciplines such as library science, administration, management, political science and linguistics. Historically, in Venezuela there are records, publications and recognitions for researchers in basic sciences (exact, physical and natural sciences), however, researchers in social, education and other related fields have remained invisible. In addition, the little information about it is scattered, compelling reasons that fully justify the study. To fulfill the purpose, exploratory online research was developed based on the consultation of three essential sources: the official portal of the Ministry of Popular Power for Science and Technology (MINCYT), the World Scientist and University Rankings 2023 (AD Scientific Index), and the researcher profiles section in Google Scholar. Once the results have been filtered and analyzed, initially 7 researchers identified by the government source are observed, 34 presents in the AD index and 20 visible in Google Scholar, which add up to a total of 61 active researchers in social sciences, education and related areas. Finally, recommendations are presented for which Venezuelan social and education researchers obtain greater visibility.El presente artículo constituye un reporte de investigación preliminar cuyo objetivo fue identificar investigadoras venezolanas activas, específicamente en ciencias sociales, educación y otras disciplinas como bibliotecología, administración, gerencia, politología y lingüística. Históricamente, en Venezuela existen registros, publicaciones y reconocimientos para las investigadoras en ciencias básicas (ciencias exactas, físicas y naturales), sin embargo, las investigadoras de sociales, educación y otros campos afines han permanecido invisibilizadas. Además, la poca información al respecto se encuentra dispersa, razones de peso que justifican plenamente el estudio. Para cumplir con el propósito, se desarrolló una investigación en línea exploratoria basada en la consulta de tres fuentes esenciales: el portal oficial del Ministerio del Poder Popular para Ciencia y Tecnología (MINCYT), el World Scientist and University Rankings 2023 (AD Scientific Index), y la sección de perfiles de investigadores en Google Académico. Una vez filtrados y analizados los resultados, inicialmente se observan 7 investigadoras identificadas por la fuente gubernamental, 34 presentes en el índice AD y 20 visibilizadas en Google Académico, las cuales suman un total de 61 investigadoras activas en ciencias sociales, educación y áreas afines. Por último, se presentan recomendaciones para las que investigadoras venezolanas de sociales y educación obtengan mayor visibilidad.&nbsp
