Trayectoria de la industria de maquinaria agrícola argentina entre 1976 y 2002

This article aims to show what were the major changes in the agricultural machinery industry in Argentina, during the period known as structural adjustment (1976-2002). For this explores the different economic and political circumstances that influenced those changes. In turn, methodologically segments the range of agricultural equipment: tractors, combine harvesters, seeders and sprayers, allowing us to identify different causes to changes in the industry by product segment. From which we find that the explanatory factors of the structural changes of the national agricultural machinery industry are political-economic nature, but related to the behavior of transnational corporations and changes in the agricultural production system.El presente artículo tiene por objetivo mostrar cuáles han sido las principales transformaciones de la industria de maquinaria agrícola en el país durante el período denominado de ajuste estructural (1976-2002). Para ello se indaga sobre las diferentes circunstancias, económicas y políticas, que influyeron en dichos cambios. A su vez, se segmenta metodológicamente el espectro de equipos agrícolas en: tractores, cosechadoras, sembradoras y pulverizadoras, lo que nos permite identificar diferentes causas a las modificaciones de la industria por segmento de producto. A partir de lo cual, encontramos que los factores explicativos de las novedades estructurales de la industria de maquinaria agrícola nacional son de índole político-económico, pero asociadas al comportamiento de las empresas transnacionales y los cambios en el sistema de producción agrícola.
