The 1980 Agricultural Accounts - During its meeting of June 11, 1981, the Commission of Agricultural Accounts examined the annual report of the INSEE presenting the provisional account. According to this, final agricultural production showed only slight growth, largely due to the impact of the sharp drop in wine production ( — 23 %). Deliveries, however, continued to increase, thanks to significant drawing on of stocks. However, the prices of intermediate goods (fertilizers and oil products, notably) increased much faster than sales prices, which led to a fall in added value in the sector, a situation similar to that of 1974.
