The salaries of Civil Servants in 1978 - During 1978 the average salary of civil servants increased by 10,3 %. This increase is due to two differing sorts of provisions. First, there is general percentage increase, equal for all levels, of the basic salary; there were four such increases in 1978. The second type of provision does not apply equally to all, and consists primarily of a graded attribution of index points, the partial integration of housing allowances into the salary, and, lastly, the increase of minimum family- allowances. Taking both kinds of factors into consideration, it emerges that the salary of category D civil servants grew slightly more (11,3 %) than that of A level administrators (9,6 %).
