The impact of research on industrial corporations - In 1974, French industrial corporations spent some 12 billion francs for internal research development projects. They financed some 60 % of them themselves, and the State some 31 %. But the State funds were divided almost exclusively between the aeronautics and electronics industries. These expenditures were divided up unequally among the sectors, and even within sectors, as well as among different industries.
