Contexte : The lumbar region allows the upper and lower biomechanical constraints to be neutralized so that the other parts of the body can move independently. This is crucial in classical and contemporary dances because the movements of the limbs are very wide. The significant stresses exerted by dance on the lumbar spine explain, in part, the high prevalence of low back pain among dancers.
