Among carbon nanomaterials, nanodiamonds exhibit unique physico-chemical properties, making them good candidates for applications in nanomedicine, quantic developments or energy. The two major NDs synthesis routes are detonation (DNDs) and milling of bulk diamond (MNDs). Surface chemistry of these nanoparticles can be homogenized by surface treatments such as oxidation (ND-Ox) or hydrogenation (ND-H). NDs have exceptional colloidal properties, allowing them to be used in aqueous suspensions. This work focuses on the reactivity of different nanodiamonds under ionizing radiation.
