International audienceThe present paper focuses on the microstructural changes in Ti64 alloy after irradiation. Titanium alloys allow a significant decrease in activation and mass with similar mechanical strength and corrosion resistance than 304 stainless steel, widely used for core internal structures of Pressurized Water Reactors (PWR). The use of titanium alloys could be therefore a significant improvement for reactor exploitation and decommissioning. The nature, size and density of radiation-induced defects are likely to be important parameters governing the in-reactor behavior of the material.
