We conducted a crossover study of different ventilators in a human cadaver model of asynchronous cardiopulmonary resuscitation, to investigate wether transport respirators are able to provide ventilation during ongoing chest compressions [research paper - coming soon]. We found ventilations to be highly fragmented by chest compressions with meaningful reduction of deliverd tidal volumes.
