Este ensayo busca verificar las potencialidades y los límites de la biopolítica como clave para una crítica del presente, con especial atención a su uso en ciertos análisis de la filosofía italiana contemporánea. En la primera parte se reconstruyen algunos pasajes esenciales de la obra de Agamben en este campo. La segunda parte se centra en la elaboración foucaultiana del concepto de biopolítica, con especial atención a su evolución dentro de la reflexión de Foucault.
