The purpose of this study was to gain insight to the perceptions of teachers and students on learning and engagement due to the implementation of Kagan cooperative learning structures. The study utilized quantitative and qualitative data to answer the guiding research questions.\r\n A mixed methods explanatory research design was implemented, beginning with the collection of quantitative data that was expanded upon by further collection of qualitative data. The sample for this study consisted of 107 students, grades 3-8, and 19 teachers who have been trained by a Kagan cooperative learning professional developer.
