Studi Pemahaman Mahasisswa S1-Pendidikan IPA Terhadap Implementasi Kurikulum Merdeka Pada Pembelajaran IPA

Abstract: One competent teacher candidates can be provided from lectures, especially students who study majoring in education or teacher training. Teaching students need to be equipped with various understandings of one of them regarding the curriculum as a foundation in the educational process at school. Transitioning from the 2013 Curriculum to the Independent Curriculum requires preparation from various parties, including prospective science teacher students. The purpose of this study was to determine the student's understanding of the S1-Science Education Study Program towards implementing the Independent Curriculum in science learning at junior high school. This study uses a descriptive quantitative design with S1-Science Education Study Program students selected by purposive sampling provided that they have completed the educational prerequisite courses. Data collection techniques used questionnaires and multiple-choice tests related to the implementation of the independent curriculum in the aspects of the learning process, the assessment process, and the Pancasila Student Profile (P3) project. The results showed that students' understanding of the implementation of the independent curriculum in science learning was dominated by high degrees from the percentage range of 65-80. This study concludes that the understanding of teaching students regarding implementing the independent curriculum is good or high. Even so, external parties need to improve the learning process regarding the curriculum in other aspects.Abstrak: Calon guru yang berkompeten salah satunya dapat disiapkan dari jenjang bangku perkuliahan, khususnya mahasiswa yang berkuliah di jurusan pendidikan atau keguruan. Mahasiswa keguruan perlu dibekali dengan berbagai pemahaman salah satunya mengenai kurikulum sebagai landasan dalam proses pendidikan di sekolah. Transisi dari Kurikulum 2013 menjadi Kurikulum Merdeka memerlukan persiapan dari berbagai pihak, termasuk dari mahasiswa calon guru IPA. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui pemahaman mahasiswa Prodi S1-Pendidikan IPA terhadap implementasi Kurikulum Merdeka pada pembelajaran IPA SMP. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain kuantitatif deskriptif dengan subjek mahasiswa Prodi S1-Pendidikan IPA yang dipilih secara purposive sampling dengan ketentuan telah menyelesaikan mata kuliah prasyarat kependidikan. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan angket dan tes pilihan ganda yang berkaitan dengan implementasi kurikulum merdeka dalam aspek proses pembelajaran, proses asesmen (penilaian), dan projek Profil Pelajar Pancasila (P3). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rerata pemahaman mahasiswa terhadap implementasi kurikulum merdeka pada pembelajaran IPA didominasi derajat tinggi dari rentang presentase sebesar 65-80. Kesimpulan penelitian ini adalah pemahaman mahasiswa keguruan terkait implementasi kurikulum merdeka tergolong baik atau tinggi. Meskipun begitu, pihak perguruan tinggi perlu meningkatkan proses pembelajaran mengenai kurikulum di luar aspek-aspek lainnya
