The number of French women who take part in the economic life of our country is increasing. Today, after a growth of over one million in seven years (e.i. : 14 %) more than 8 millions women are working, representing 37 % of labour. This striking progress results first trom a large arrival of married women — especially those with one or two children — on the labour market (about 6 married women for 10 working women).
