CONTRIBUTION TO THE STUDY OF SURFACES OF PLANATION ON THE CENTRAL HIGHLANDS OF MADAGASCAR. - Abstract. - In fact this article is a detailed study accompanying the géomorpholo gical map (11500 000) of the Central Highlands of Madagascar, published by O.R.S.T.O.M in Tananarive. The author' s first is to determine the specific characteristics connected with each level of planation, then to attempt to establish it on a regional basis. In fact, on the one hand, each surface or plane of erosion presents specific characteristics connected with the structure, with the morphological development and the soils; on the other hand, we can distinguish regional patterns wich are due to a combination of characteristics or to preponderance of certain levels...
