Abstract : Alps-Caucasus, a comparative bio-geography. The Caucasian flora and fauna are richer in species and more diversified than the ones of the Alps, because of the climatological Caucasian situation; the existence, during the Quaternary, of refuges (Lands without ice) and the less human activity.Résumé : La flore et la faune du Caucase sont plus riches et plus variées que celles des Alpes à cause de la position géographique du Caucase, de l'existence pendant le Quaternaire de zones refuges (non engla- cées) et d'une moindre action anthropique.Zimina R.P., Saint-Giron M.Ch.
