THE IMPACT OF DIGITAL TECHNOLOGY ON HEALTH, PHYSICAL EDUCATION AND PHYSICAL ACTIVITY

Digital media is an integral part of children and young people's daily lives, with positive attributes such as educational innovations but also associated risks such as addiction and insufficient physical activity. Therefore, it is important to address digital media use in a pedagogical manner, as schools are responsible for adequately preparing students for life in a mediatized world. Media education can be included as part of traditional subjects, which may increase student motivation. However, while science-oriented research openly meets this challenge, discussions regarding physical education tend to focus on the lack of exercise
