Thesis (M.A.)--Boston UniversityThe author has chosen the administration of Unemployment Compensation in Massachusetts for several reasons. First it is a subject which has gained a great deal of publicity in recent months due to the unpleasant financial situation in which it finds itself. In addition, in spite of its publicity, the layman knows but little about its legal basis, administration and effect on the general public. Unfortunately what publicity it has received has tended to place it in a very unfavorable light. The author feels that much of the criticism it has received is unjustified.
