The aim of this work was to study the thermochemical valorization of five Mediterranean biomasses, Cistus of Montpelier, Date kernels, Olive kernels, Aleppo pine husks and wheat straw. A comparative study of pyrolysis was first carried out using thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) and a semi-continuous reactor. TGA has also been used to study the combustion of Cistus of Montpellier, cellulose, hemicellulose, lignin and their coals. The semi-continuous reactor made it possible to explore the gasification of the Ciste of Montpellier and the three biopolymers with air as the gasification agent.
