Hybrid lead halide perovskites are promising materials for photovoltaics. Although perovskite solar cells (PSCs) already exhibit high efficiencies, perovskite instability remains an obstacle to their industrialization. To overcome this instability, a comprehensive understanding of the internal degradation mechanisms is required.In this thesis, we study degradation mechanisms using correlative electron microscopy techniques, including cathodoluminescence (CL), energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDS), and selected area electron diffraction (SAED), which reveal compositional, structural, and optoelectronic variations in samples at the nanoscale.We first optimize these techniques for the analysis of sensitive hybrid perovskite films.
