The sense of "the just" in China: in search of a new labour law. This article is based on the analysis of 123 written complaints addressed by migrant workers to the Labour Bureau of the Shenzhen municipality. The authors seek to understand how the worker's who wrote these letters tried to identify and draw upon common references in order to express their feeling of injustice. The workers thereby contributed to the process of reconstructing shared references as well as to the emergence of labour laws in a new industrialization context.
