The good elastomechanic properties of AW 100-glued beech plywood panels are in contrast to their comparatively low dimensional stability when exposed to humidity. This disadvantage is complained by the users of beech plywood and can seriously impair the application of these boards e.g. in building and vehiele construction. The aim of this study was to investigate systematically the influence of different processing parameters on the dimensional stability of beech plywood. For this purpose, 7-layer plywood panels from selected beech veneers with 1.8 mm nominal thickness were made in a laboratory plant. Part 1 describes the aims, planning and performance of the tests as well as results of the influence of moisture patterns, pressing times, gl...
