En este trabajo se estudian los efectos de cambio de birrefringencia en redes de Bragg grabadas en fibra por medio de esfuerzos laterales aplicados a las mismas. Dicha birrefringencia inducida es debida a procesos elasto- ópticos, los cuales generan corrimientos espectrales en las distribuciones de reflectividad o transmisión de dichas redes que son diferentes para dos componentes ortogonales de polarización.
